Just a few hours away from me there’s about 40,000 people rioting in Frankfurt Germany, and it’s expected to get ugly.

Dachau concentration camp

So Levi & I decided to visit Dachau this weekend. One of the things I’ve always wanted to do was to visit one of those. Mostly because of the experience of actually seeing & being where these horrific events took place. It was a very intense atmosphere. I had a saddened pain as I walked around the camp. There was pictures of what it looked like at the time when the holocaust was happening. I learned much more happened than what were taught at school. Just being there made an entire new outlook on it. I stood where there use to be hundreds of piled bodies…I walked through the jail cell hall where hundreds of prisoners were secluded from everything and fed once every four days, I walked through the barracks where thousands of these prisoners slept, piled on one another. I saw the wall where the gaurds shot hundreds of the prisoners, I saw an original uniform, but, the most intense place I stood was inside the gas chamber. I immediately felt a pressure on my chest..visualizing what happened in there. Before we were allowed to walk in there our tour guide explained how they got the prisoners to go in there. They told them that it was a shower room…they even put shower heads in there, & little did they know they were going to die. Next to the gas chamber was another room where they piled the dead bodies, to wait for the incinerators next to that room to warm up…I saw that too. Dachau has a total of 43 thousand deaths. & the sad part to that is that the dachau concentration camp wasn’t a death camp, that one was one of “the work” camps. Most of the people died of disease, malnutrition, exhaustion, or froze to death. It was sad to see these things but I feel it’s important to see the truth of what happened. What was allowed & how careful people need to be on who they allow to control them. Hitler promised Germany that he would be their last hope in saving them from the recession they were experiencing. He stressed to the people that the Jews & minorities were to blame & that they needed to go to prison without trial. & little did everyone know…his plan was for an extermination. Most people don’t know that the people of Germany had no idea what Hitler was actually doing to these people..the newspapers told them that the prisoners were going to learn how to work…but that wasn’t it at all. The front gate of Dachau reads “hard work will get you freedom”, they put heaters in the cells, & never used them, all to make it “look good.” after the war & when the US finally saved these people, German citizens went to the camps & saw the truth. The bodies were left so that they could see…if any of you get the chance to experience something like that..take the chance & learn. I took many pictures & I will post later. For now I’ll post some I found on here.
